Welder training and certification in Kazakhstan

KazExpertProm LLP arranges the training, retraining, advanced training and certification of level one and level two welders employed at any hazardous production facility. A welder is certified for the right to perform welding and surfacing work using certain types of fusion welding carried out manually, by mechanised and by automated methods at any hazardous production facility. The rules may also apply to the certification of a welder who performs welding and surfacing work using other types of welding for which the certification bodies have developed a methodological programme.

The KazExpertProm certification centre certifies welders (level one and level two specialists) for the following categories of hazardous production facilities and structures:

• Lifting and transport equipment.
• Boiler equipment.
• Gas equipment.
• Oil and gas production equipment.
• Equipment of chemical, petrochemical, oil-producing and explosion- and fire-hazardous production facilities.
• Building structures.

The certification board comprises:

1. for the certification of a level one welder — a chief welder of level IV and two foremen of professional level III or II;
2. for the certification of trainees at professional level two — a chief welder of level IV and two foremen/welding engineers of professional level III.

The certificates issued to certified welders are valid throughout the Republic of Kazakhstan.
