Electrical safety training for engineering and maintenance personnel

KazExpertProm LLP trains specialists in electrical safety in accordance with the requirements of Order of the Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 222 dated 19 March 2015 «On approval of the safety rules for the operation of consumer electrical installations».

Under the rules, the following are subject to annual assessment — more precisely, to obtaining or confirming a clearance group:

• electrical engineering personnel holding clearance groups I to V;
• employees awarded the next clearance group on completing higher education in the energy field;
• employees who have received the relevant clearance group on the basis of their length of service.

How are the clearance groups defined by the voltage of the electrical networks and by the work carried out? As follows:

• group I — work at voltages up to 220 V, connecting equipment without first dismantling sockets, plugs and so on;
• groups II and III — work with equipment and networks at voltages up to 1000 V;
• groups IV and V — work with equipment and networks at voltages above 1000 V.

On completion of the assessment you receive:

• an electrical safety certificate valid for one year;
• a record confirming that a qualified assessment of the specialists has been carried out.
