Metals laboratory services: non-destructive testing and metal flaw detection
The testing laboratory for metal inspection, diagnostics and welding of KazExpertProm inspects and diagnoses metals and welded joints on the basis of Accreditation Attestate No. KZ.T.02.2362, issued by the National Accreditation Centre on 1 September 2020 for compliance with GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019, and Certificate No. 63/20, issued by the National Centre of Expertise and Certification of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 19 November 2020. Using new-generation high-technology equipment, the laboratory provides a high-precision service — non-destructive testing of the metal of hazardous technical devices of all types by the following methods:
- Visual measurement inspection
- Ultrasonic flaw detection (ultrasonic weld inspection), thickness measurement, hardness measurement
- Radiographic testing (metal radiography)
- Magnetic flaw detection (magnetic particle and magnetographic methods)
- Penetrant testing (dye, vacuum, capillary, leak detection)
- Thermal testing
- Acoustic emission testing
- Eddy current testing
- Spectral analysis of metal
- Chemical analysis of metal
- Mechanical testing of metal (tensile, bending and other tests)
Non-destructive testing applies to technical devices, mechanisms, structures and equipment operated and/or used at hazardous production facilities. Where required, the non-destructive testing laboratory also carries out other industrial safety work that involves this type of inspection. KazExpertProm LLP complies with all the rules and requirements of the legislation on industrial safety.
KazExpertProm LLP has its own non-destructive testing laboratory — specifically, a testing laboratory for metal inspection, diagnostics and welding — which inspects metals and welded joints on a legal basis. The status of the laboratory is confirmed by Certificate No. 63/20, issued by the National Centre of Expertise and Certification of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 19 November 2020, which confirms the competence of the laboratory and its equipment with the required state-of-the-art instruments.
Welded joints, welds and metals are inspected in line with these requirements and instructions. The laboratory is equipped with the instruments, devices and measuring equipment needed to perform technical tasks to a high standard. All equipment is verified regularly in the established manner. The company employs responsible and highly qualified specialists with professional theoretical knowledge and many years of practical experience.
Non-destructive flaw detection of parent metal and welded joints is carried out using the following inspection methods:
Inspection by visual measurement.
Flaw detection with ultrasonic instruments.
Radiographic testing.
Thickness measurement and metal hardness measurement.
Magnetic particle method.
Penetrant methods (dye, vacuum, capillary, leak detection).
Thermal testing (thermal imager).
Eddy current testing.
Spectral analysis of metal.
Chemical analysis of metal.
Mechanical testing of metal (tensile, bending and other tests).
